About the Author

Whether it was creative movement, photography or painting with language, creative expression has been deeply embedded in my DNA since birth. I was raised on classic rock and television growing up, sparking a fierce pop culture passion that defines much of who I am to this day. Creative expression took more physical shape as I discovered dance in elementary school. Falling in love with tap and rhythm, I had no idea that this activity would some day evolve into a career with opportunities around the world.

As a human, I am a mother, a wife, a coach, an advocate and creator. I believe in unwavering optimism that is strongly rooted in facts. I believe in the pursuit of joy and that life is one big long opportunity to grow. I believe that we become better by sharing.

As an author, my poetry was first published in 5th grade. Writing became second nature whether it was crafting song lyrics or articulating things many felt, but just couldn’t find the words to say. I also started a journal for my son, that I plan to share with him when he graduates high school. It’s a collection of writings meant only for him. Detailing special memories, our relationship and the remarkable journey to and through motherhood. 

Professionally, I've been involved in dance education for more than 20 years. I have been fortunate to teach all over this incredible country and in Europe. Dance also opened up the door for me to write professional development programs used across the country and speak routinely at conferences. I am also a marketer, passionate about the business of communication, representing numerous brands over the years in the industries of travel, hospitality, entertainment, hospitals, healthcare and pharmaceutical. Leading numerous teams through brand development, full scale production and strategic planning. 

I am now finally embarking on a dream many years in the works. I hope that by creating this space, you will find inspiration, belonging and personal evolution.

Together, we'll tackle all kinds of subjects - personal, shared, current events, travel + lifestyle. Some will be tougher than others. But that's the point.
